Our local history - as told by Fernhurst villagers.
Villagers have donated thousands of hours to the Oral History project. From the growing collection of interviews we produced the 'Voices of Fernhurst' book, this website and in 2007 an exhibition. Interviewing began from an idea originally started in 1987. It has grown, with huge support, into a full scale project that is still running and hopefully will continue for generations.

The Fernhurst Oral History Project was supported by the Local Heritage Initiative. The Local Heritage Initiative was developed by the Countryside
Agency and was funded by the Heritage Lottery
Fund and Nationwide Building Society.
