Benefits of membership:

• a regular newsletter with details about the Society's events, reports of projects, and discussions of topical issues including planning concerns

• seasonal walks: guided outings in and around the Fernhurst area
• annual social barbecue
• our series of very popular indoor talks on topics of local interest by well-known speakers, usually held in the village hall.
• the opportunity to take part in the Society's projects. (These have included for example, the Biodiversity, Oral History and Censuses projects, the prepartion of a millennium map and a village sign, and several exhibitions).
• supporting and using the Fernhurst Archive in the collecting, cataloguing and conserving of our local heritage
• publications: producing the Fernhurst Millennium Map, leaflets on St Margaret’s Church and local walks
• the satisfaction of taking part in and contributing to village life and activities, and sharing interests with fellow members

If you would like to join the Society, you may download a membership application form (Adobe pdf format: to open this you may need to download the free Adobe Acrobat PDF viewer). Print the form and mail to the address shown; or if you prefer, simply contact us by email.

Membership subscriptions

The membership subscription is just £6 per annum for adults (£5 for senior citizens), and £1 for juniors.
