Do you have young children interested in wildlife and nature in Fernhurst?

Come and join in these fun walks and find out more about the area you live in - and keep healthy!

Each walk has a nature theme to make it interesting and enjoyable for children aged between 5 and 10 years.
Parents are very welcome too!

The meetings are generally on the 3rd Saturday of the month.
Details are in the Fernhurst News and in the latest Society newsletters.

Parents must accompany children aged 5 – 7 years. Parents of older children are strongly encouraged to join in too – it makes supervision much easier and the children enjoy having their parents there. Dogs are allowed but only if on a lead.

Children (and parents) to wear suitable footwear and clothing and bring own refreshments. There is a one-off membership fee of £1 to join the group and a charge of 50p per child per walk to cover our administration costs.

Parents must book beforehand for each walk. When you book in, you will be given details of starting and end points and times – we will not wait for you if you are not booked in!
